About the artwork
Detail, dynamism and visual contrast are the hallmarks of Lee Jung Woong's remarkable works. Not only does the artist depict his object with masterful precision, he also imbues his work with emotion, dynamism and spirit. In this piece, a brushstroke splatters paint across a canvas, extending towards all four corners and creating an explosion of energy and palpable motion. The brush is depicted in hyperrealist form, with its gleaming, glossy wood and delicate hairs visible to the viewer. The contrast of black ink on pure white heightens the sense of tension and spectacle, creating a captivating visual experience for viewers.
