About the artwork
This work by Lee Jung Woong brings an aura of tranquility to the living room with its neutral colour scheme, that complements the monochromatic elements of the space. The artist’s depiction of a Chinese brush far surpasses a simple two-dimensional image, as its hyperrealist nature displays the gleaming wood and brush hairs, in which every individual coarse strand is visible. The amount of detailing Lee includes in his painting renders his work flawless, with the curved lines of the work generating a sense of dynamism and motion that provides viewers with a fascinating visual experience. Lee connects ancient techniques with contemporary perspectives, and his unique artistic vision has made his works beloved by collectors all over the world.
