Dutch Artist Harmen is an autonomous professional artist, designer, and composer who was raised in Groningen in the north of the Netherlands. From an early age, he was touched by music and art and knew this was a field he wished to make his life.
After working on his artistic practice for 30 years, Harmen arrived at his intention to make the brushstroke the subject of the painting, and to transform paintings into sculpture. This was paired with his aim to convey the inner state of stillness and simplicity, not by reducing the many, but by putting the most necessary together.
