Chen Qing Qing was born in Beijing in 1953 and studied Medicine, finishing her English/German Literature Studies in Beijing and Vienna. Taking a big leap from her previous training, she started installation creations and now works as a professional artist in Beijing in 1994. Since then, her works have been exhibited globally and collected by various private collectors. Chen Qing Qing's detailed fabric art installation works are made by natural materials; silk, hemp, dry flowers, paper or pearls. The innovative mediums used in her creations are known to mesmerize viewers and pique intrigue, drawing them in to question the concepts behind the making of her art.
Since 1995, Qing Qing's works have been exhibited around the world, including Paris, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, USA and Southeast Asia, and are collected by the China National Museum, New Museum in New York and numerous international private collectors.
