About the artwork
Yu Nancheng's canvas confronts us with a stark visual paradox: a lone, Tai Chi master guides a crimson sea of impasto-sculpted Tai Chi practitioners. This regimented, receding mass, performing synchronized movements under his direction, leads the eye to a distant, flagged structure, a symbol of authority against a muted grey. The painting pulses with tension, a silent assertion of leadership against a backdrop of unified practice.
