About the artwork
Yu Nancheng's 'Tai Chi Lift Hands' presents a powerful visual allegory: a leading Tai Chi master, rendered with expressive impasto, guides a unified green formation against a radiant yellow expanse. Strong perspective directs the gaze to a distant building, possibly Tiananmen Square, amplifying the symbolic resonance. The striking color contrast and disciplined figures explore the themes of individual agency within a collective, highlighting strength, determination, and harmonious integration.
