About the artwork
As the old Chinese saying goes: “Man struggles upwards, water flows downwards”. The pursuit of highness is an instinct of the human being. This little fat guy in a vintage suit wears a pair of tiny wings in his back; he stands on the high stool with a serious face and says “Halt!” with his hand. Among the humor and drama that the sculpture creates, there is a serious meaning of“hail to the wisdom of this great man”. The artist depicts the confidence and prestige of the great men with a twist of fun:Stand higher and see further.
