Each of Rainer Lagemann's work stretches the limits of his innovative medium, going further in his quest, catching human bodies in motion and interaction with their environment - they appear climbing, running, flying, and diving, among others. Always challenging his creativity, This piece titled 'Escape' portrays a sculpture in motion whereby he creates a human body running towards a particular direction. There are deliberate spaces left in the sculpture to project the illusion of continuous movement even though it is a still sculpture. the neck is pointed towards a definitive direction highlighting the fact that it is a directional piece which aims for a particular purpose. Rainer leaves the interpretation to the viewer of whether the figure is escaping from some particular place or running for a particular purpose
