About the artwork

In this painting titled "Best Friends" by David Bromley, an angelic young boy appears lost in his thoughts, daydreaming. Reality and imagination are depicted on the same plane, depicting how the child seems oblivious to the boundaries between the two.The boy dreams of fishes and anthropomorphized animals, accompanying him as imaginary friends. Through this piece, the artist plunges us in the memory of our dearest friends, the ones we create that could never disappoint us, disappearing as our innocence fades with age.
