Biography
Born in 1975, Lieu Nguyen graduated from Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts University in 2001. Lieu Nguyen has received many accolades and merits from a variety of associations, and became a member of the Fine ArtsAssociation of Ho Chi Minh City in 2003. His first group exhibition in 1996 was a huge success and in 2005 he solidified his reputation as one of the leading contemporary Vietnamese painters by participating in his first solo exhibition.
Lieu Nguyen’s style demonstrates a true passion for colour and a familiarity with striking brush strokes that seem to burst into a dynamic image of blossom trees. The booming coloured petals create a dream-like fantasy of a magical land of happy childhood memories
The idyllic picture of beautiful blossom trees swaying in the summer breeze not only inspires the viewer but also captures their imagination, taking them into a place of true, untouched beauty.
